I was upset about something last month. It caused me a lot of stress and I was positive that my behaviour had changed too. I usually quietly bear the stress, or any unpleasant feeling, for that matter, and cry it out or find some other way to let it out.
I don’t generally talk to people about it, before I’m over it myself.
But that day, I messaged a close friend on Instagram, and she tried to calm me down first…then, she explained me, how if something won’t matter in the wider picture of my life, then its pointless to even think about it. .
And that’s when I realized that even though it’s not exactly POINTLESS to think about everything we already do, it shouldn’t be the cause of our stress, anger or foul mood. If we let something so insignificant take control over our emotions then it’s just a matter of time, when this attitude would destroy all our relationships and make us even more vulnerable than before. .
So, if something stresses you out the next time, then just give yourself some time to think about it, and if it’s insignificant in the next 10 years of your life, then don’t give it the power to mess with your emotions😅
