Over thinking about your future? Read this.

Do you ever feel uncertain and wondered “what next?”
If you ever felt that way then you’re certainly not alone. I feel just the same most of the time.

Is it okay to not know about your future plans?

But what I understood over a period of time is that feeling not sure and uncomfortable and being terrified of the future is OKAY. You don’t need to know every freaking detail of your future. Sometimes let yourself be without all the strings of your so called “future plans” attached. Give yourself the freedom to explore new opportunities and evolve.
It’s okay to not be certain and it’s okay to not know what you want.

But how is it okay? We’re taught to be always crystal clear about our future right?

Because, if you have all your life figured out then there is no fun and Absolutely no adventure in your life. So why live such a dry and systematic life, when you have the liberty to go out there and try. You never know what clicks and takes you somewhere you only dreamt to be.
So loosen up and be alright if you don’t know about what you’re gonna do in the near future. It’s okay to not be sure about what will happen next. It’s completely normal to not be sure and to not have a plan. In fact, not having a plan gives you the liberty to try everything, experience stuff you dreamt of and live your life freely without being bound by the future plans that you prepared.Having a change of heart is fine. And changing your fields of work is okay. It doesn’t make you pathetic or undetermined, it only makes you open to unforeseen opportunities.

But who am I to tell you all this?

I spent hours thinking stuff like “what should I do next? What’s my passion? Can I have more than 1 or 2 passions? Should I try this stuff or stick with the plan?”But the fact is that it’s no use to over think so much. I’m a Capricorn, who are, according to zodiac signs, known to over think everything ( no offence πŸ‘€), yet I believe in living without a plan. Now I’m not asking you to be clueless about your future. I’m not asking you to leave everything on the all mighty or your fate. All I’m saying is, don’t be too certain about your future, it’s not in your hands.

So should we not think about our future?

Yes, the future does shape your life but hoping that you’ll always be correct about your aspirations and achieve all your desires is too much to ask for.We don’t all start with the motive of being stubborn about winning and achieving all that we aspired for. But with the passage of time, we become too obsessed over it which makes us wanna achieve everything and we forget that winning and achieving is not everything. We start to limit ourselves to one thing which we consider our passion. This is really bad for our personal development.Remember one thing guys, never limit yourself to a particular thing. Even if you’re a workaholic and love your work, keep trying new stuff nevertheless. Just take out 1 hour or half hour if one is not affordable, daily, to do new stuff. Develop a hobby, or a new skill or try and get better at the stuff you’re not good at.Thank you!
