The general perception.
Well they say that if you aren’t good looking then you need to be good in academics; If you aren’t good in academics then you need to be good in sports; If you aren’t good in a sports then you need to be creative. Dude, what’s your point?! Like why do we NEED to have any of this? Why do we need to have these skills?
Why do we Need be good at certain things?
” To serve the society.” Is the answer we get. So, we go to school, then strive for a top tier college then a high paying job in either sports, academics, art,… Anything. But most of us don’t even have the skill. It’s hardwork that helps us get all this, not our skill. But then there are people who are brilliant in studies and it’s what their passion is. That’s what we all say. Well surely there are these people but they are lucky because they have the skills and talent that is “accepted by the society“, which makes their survival easier in this world. But for the rest of us, if we wanna survive, Then we need to work so hard that we even surprise ourselves.
Here’s Why are only a few people famous and rich and are considered the best of the world-
Now the people who have such a strong mind set thar they can achieve anything they want and they are the ones who Ultimately “fit in”. They forget about their originality and do everything to please the society or to show them their talent. They get so absorbed in “proving themselves” that they forget that this is not their reality, it’s a false pride, false hope, false success.
If you achieve something to show others thar you can achieve it then you’re the biggest fool.
But what about the rest of us? The other 70-80% of the world, which is not passionate about the “socially acceptable careers”? Well all these people are considered either “failures” or “people with a hard luck”. Well that’s not true. They can’t do great things like those 10-20% people because they are unique. Their qualities are different and probably not acceptable in the society. Their talent is repressed over and over again till it’s completely vanished and even they forget that they have something. Most of these people don’t know about their talent because they were smart enough to understand the level of acceptance their talent has In the society but fool enough to lie to themselves. The others are those people who know exactly what is different and unique in them and are bold enough to keep their talent alive in themselves, but they have less self esteem and aren’t able to face the criticisms offered by our “dear uncle and aunties”.
Don’t let the people who will forget you the moment you die, decide your future and go and explore the full extent of your abilities.
Thank you.
This is so very relatable if you are a student.

Well it is. We are expected to do stuff just because it’s “right” not because it makes us happy.

People who are unique accept what they feel and do what they feel like doing. They dont simply ignore their feelings to please others. And when these unique people achieve something in life, they feel contented.

Agreed but there are many people who often die thinking and saying, “If only I could do this”. If you check it out yourself then the no. Of people who are satisfied and contented are less than the ones who are frustrated

Yes I agree. We usually use societal norms as our parameters. But I think now the younger generation is more about how they feel or what they want. So times are changing and people are changing.:)

I COMPLETELY agree with your friend. Everyone has a quality which is unique but the problem is we ourselves don’t realize this paradise within us
